Near Edington in Wiltshire there is a valley called Luccombe Bottom, home to the Blood Stone. According to legend, after the Battle of Edington in 878 AD, King Alfredβs army used this stone to behead captured Danish Vikings.
The photos show the valley and the track leading to the stone.
