Nana...
"Just" is an understatement
π
Kat Tenbarge interviewed me about the migration to Bluesky among journalists.
It's easy to see why it's happening.
It's easier to find news, harder to spread disinfo, trolls don't drown out the good content, and links are not deprioritized.
It's a breath of fresh air for journalism to thrive in.
Can you please add me, too?
Thanks! π
Me, please! π
Thanks to the internet, there's nothing that doesn't exist (for the good and bad).
But the real question would be: is it niche enough for a PhD? π
Hahaha!
And now I'm wondering what the "watch me grow" sign actually refers to π
Me looking sheepish next to a torso-sized hole in my drywall. Many small pieces of drywall debris also litter the carpet.
Remember when you used to be able to put your feet on the wall across the hallway and climb up it? Well if you're an adult now and you're trying to escape your small children during a game of tag you have to press a lot harder on the other wall, so make sure you're not in the gap between studs.
As another #PhycologyFriday winds to a close, here's a starter pack of algal appreciators to follow! Lmk if you'd like to be added to the list. go.bsky.app/RwMphxS
I'd love to be added!

A crafted black doctoral cap with a lit LED light string tassel containing eppis with filters. On top little beads state "I love algae" and "light", an R sign, green marked round filters, green paper circles resembling my lighting system, a printed fatty acid GC profile, picture of a daphnia (from the working group website banner), anabeana "giant microbe", and a kangaroo crossing warning sign. From the top hang glass vessels used for the GC. On the rim are pictures and small roses around.
Just to give you an idea about my PhD research topic:

Hello bluesky!
This account does exist for a while, but there weren't many people here.
Hope to connect to fellow researchers, particularly in #aquatic #science π
