While Ezra's depression is meant to be taken seriously, it can sometimes be used for bits as well.
My faves I get to do are "I'm just gonna lie here for a while..." any time he eats dirt. Or just an excuse for him to loaf on the floor because existing is hard and I, too, wish to cease. Just ceast.
Lampaat having the uncontrollable bleeting on words that have 'BA' is entirely for the bit of being able to have them b'aww.
And every time it happens, it makes the DM and other party member lose their minds cause I space it out just far enough for them to forget.
Then... "BAHHH"
It's great.
It's gonna sound really bad out of context, but Rasiri's fiancΓ© is kinda like that? He's there more so as a tie to her, and shenanigans with her. He just happened to be a forge cleric who ended up being able to make Quin his prosthetic.
Granted it took like...3 days, BUT HE DID IT!
I mean, Apprentice has a pet Velociraptor.
Do you think a Lich, Undead Warlock, at level 17, has a use for a Velociraptor? The thing will die if I throw it at anything.
That there is her baby. Currently being fed table scraps while hiding under her dress.
Yes, absolutely I do! Both written, and TTRPGs.
And yeup, I've done that 100%
The thing designed for shenanigans changed character to character, and RP to RP. Sometimes scene to scene. It was more just if we were having fun with a bit. And still is.
Kitsu figured out pretty quick one of the party members, Thalen, was using her and called it out in front of everyone and forced them to explain in the moment.
Ended up getting herself ousted as a Vampire, which went over comparatively very well. Somehow she got dubbed the "most trustworthy" after.
Lampaat has an idea that W.U.F. is not entirely upfront with them, and is likely using them. But they also believe that its not every single soul in the military front.
Besides, they trust certain people to have their best interest at heart. Like Dr. Isobel, head of the Revenant Project.
Ezra is well aware his Patron grabbed him at random just to shunt off some responsibilities onto him and be lazy.
And he's quite angry about it. Yells at his sword a lot for it knowing his Patron can hear.
While they are good friends otherwise, it's based on this lie that eventually Quin will have to tell her. I imagine the guilt around this, knowing Rasiri is sincere in wanting to help everyone of Meerveil, is what leads him to being so protective when people threaten her.
So, TECHNICALLY, Rasiri's very dear friend, Quin'tril, he is a Tabaxi she is letting crash at her place while he gets his feet back on solid ground.
Or more accurately, that's what she thinks.
Quin is using her to hide out and dodge the security who know he escaped his sentence...
For the record, the party adore this girlie and have been asking me specifically when I would draw her true spider form.
Me, an arachnophobe. Weeping. Yeah I guess I set myself up for that one, huh?
She turned out pretty cute tho I like it!
"Ignore every instinct to flee. Remember, you are a monster, too."
We love our local Anadi bard disguised as a human to not scare people, right?

(I pray that filters it for my fellow arachnophobes, if not, I'm so sorry, I tried)
Yuuki, darling, your life is full of very important people who share a very short amount of time with you in the grand scheme of things.
Half a daughter, half the monster they made you. Don't lose what makes you a gentle, kind soul child.

It genuinely doesn't matter ultimately, I just wish I understood what people thought those trigger warnings were for? And why some people treat it like it's everyone else's job to make the space around YOU safe. You are responsible for you and curating your space at all times, you're an adult, do so
My character said "he is the only reason I'm alive and he can do with that life as he wishes" and you drew the line there? Like girlie, yeah its not healthy, it's the beginning of their arc...that's the point? They haven't gone through growth yet. You knew this going in...
Like no duh girlie pop. I warned you ahead of time and you even gushed about how cute it was at the time. Did you not realize that went as far as her love interest stabbing her? And making sure YOU didn't kill said love interest in retaliation?
Thinking about this specifically now. Because I'm considering when I played a TTRPG game, we all cleared our Consent Sheets for the game, I gave the warning my character had an unhealthy relationship/obsession. And yet when it came up, someone freaked out and called it "abusive"
I've noticed sometimes people say "it's fine" with this stuff until they get into it and realize it's not for them. Which, btw, is an option that is healthy to acknowledge.
What isn't, is making the content creator out as if they are responsible for you curating your spaces.
I will offer complicated situations and ask the audience to engage critically sometimes. But I'm also content to give a breather with simple fluff sometimes that you don't have to feel guilty to indulge in.
In case anyone missed it, Soup (me) VERY MUCH like tragedies.
I like working with complicated, and/or triggering topics. I think to remove complexity is to inherently expect your audience to be stupid, and I'd like to think my audience is smart enough to get it.
I have hyperfixated around this song because it fits SO well as a conversation between Yuuki, and her father figure, Mercer. It's absolutely the point they get to because Mercer refuses to explain shit, and Yuuki has just emulated him so thoroughly as an adult.

In case it wasn't obvious, I think friendships can be life changing and I like to show that sometimes in my TTRPGs that I get to play in as one of the humble actors on stage.
Apprentice and Imogen are some of my favorite examples.
Bouncing off wonderfully from one of my Discord buddies.
Man FR out here trying to rip my heart out...
Bro, that's Imogen's best friend.
Grabs Imogen's hand to save her from falling
"Don't worry! I've got you!"
Pulls her up then immediately gets shot in the shoulder and falls off instead
The most evil thing one of my TTRPG buddies has told me recently, is specifically around our characters, Imogen and Kudo, and their friendship.
Man suggested that Kudo finally stops being tsundere, saves Imogen and actually calls out to her as his friend, only to die in the same encounter.
Take it to their grave: Apprentice, Ezra, Rasiri, Bridgette, Chione, Kitsu, Dr. Kovac
Good, but wouldn't hold up under severe pressure: Lampaat
Try to keep it, folds under light pressure: Ai
Would blab immediately to their friends, do not trust them with secrets: Imogen
Apprentice has a soft spot for animals, kids, and harpers, even as a Lich.
She specifically has a soft spot for her friends, like Xarseth (who is a harper and gave her that soft spot to begin with)
Even if she stays a Lich, this will always be the case.
A seemingly human PoC woman in the snow wearing a black dress and with long white hair.
A green haired triton as an adult and a child, the child is bright, and the adult is covered in blood.
An albino woman wearing a purple and blue dress with many ruffles, sitting in a golden cage, with an eye in the background staring.
A pink tiefling looking woman with two large dark horns, pointed ears, with one clipped, wearing rough travel gear, looking at her reflection with bloody text smeared saying "Deserter"
I heard people doing art shares for #InternationalWomensDay ?
Well heck, I love women! Love drawing women! They're beautiful!
