Ah good, I'll give it a check on Android.
There's a lot of pretty funky gpu/texture magic going on under the hood, so an issue like that could make sense. If I had to guess, I imagine you won't see it on the desktop.
Thanks for the heads up!

Oooh, yay, a bug! (Nope, that shouldn't be happening.)
I'm assuming that happens right when you load it up? Curious what browser you're using, too.
Check this shit out:
3 by 3 grid representing a minigolf course with a cartoon flag in the lower left, and a golf club to the right. Four tiles have little dotted-circles in them representing magnetic fields, and there is a red ball with a curved path shown behind it. The ball has gone around the golf course, curving 90 degrees every time it passes through one of the magnetic fields.
New game posted at Universe & More! What?!
Magnetism Mini Golf. Go give it a play - perfect for some magnetic puzzle fun, and GREAT fore students.

Which is harder to simulate - Dark Matter or Gas?
Find out in my latest blog post, which includes pretty animations and also a sneak peek at a sim you can run yourself?!

Someone fund me to make this into a travel show where we spin the wheel and then go see the bird wherever in the world it might be.
It'll have Fishing With John vibes but will also be very educational.
I can give you my Venmo.
It turns out that you can create an interference pattern using light from two independent lasers. The interference arises from the quantum view that you cannot tell which laser any individual photon came from.

Thatβs amazing.

Discord server message, small cartoon character icon, message written by andy. "That's that, then. If there are any folks that are against using AI and in the creator space, feel free to track me down elsewhere. You're not alone, and I'd love to support your stuff."
When you look around a creatives discord server and realize folks have only been sharing AI-related creations for months...
Hope somebody who needs this message finds it.
Header: No AI Worth writing it in its own category here. In general, AI is a vehicle for evil and misinformation. So I think it should be kept as far away from education as possible. As an added bonus, AI harms creators β and sharing creations and supporting creators is the whole reason this site exists. So. No thank you.
Time for an addendum to The Science Playground's "About" page. I think this just about covers it.
ngl, I'm nervous about the future of these types of projects. Historically science projects on the web are cool and unique passion projects - even the most half-baked ones are a delightful reflection of the creators.
Though I guess generic vacuous projects are *also* a reflection.
For cool projects I've found made by humans: thescienceplayground.com

Writers and illustrators tend to be against AI, but where I haaave seen it crop up or be admitted to in the Kidlit arena is in creating additional resources, like activities and discussion guides.
Please be assured, *nothing* I create is done with AI. Including bonus resources like these.
