If your government lets you live as a trans person more or less unencumbered, I am happy it lets you do that. That wasnโt and isnโt my situation. So I own my preachiness and didactic tendencies, as a plea for understanding. Iโm not trying to be โ80s She-Ra to kids, but I do advocate for our lives.
People who hate and dislike my work would probably single out this passage as one of their least favourites. But they forget (or donโt realize or care) right around the time I started writing โSerpent,โ my provinceโs govt was passing unconstitutional forcing outing legislation for schools.
