One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.

Periodic reminder that 95% of the time when you hear about someone who "left their corporate job to follow their passion," either:
- they were rich enough they didn't need the job in the first place
- they're overstating how important or powerful that corporate job was, or
- they were fired
Big Tech collecting data and spying on us is pretty bad. But on the other hand all their software is buggy unusable broken shit. So it's not far fetched to assume that this quality may extend down to the data collection and processing too. So maybe it all cancels out in the end?
