The main signal path is to my matrix, which outputs both to my capture card (+ monitor passthrough) and my TV. But I can switch consoles directly to the TV for HDMI 2.1 or Genlock (basically retro console vrr) for the RetroTINK.

I recently updated my HDMI switching setup and I'm very happy with the results. It makes it easy to play on either my monitor or the TV, take screenshots with a single button or scale console games through the RetroTINK 4K. π
Very cool tool. My suggestions: An adjustable switch item (similar to SVS), that lets you change the amount of inputs and outputs. Bonus points if it lets you select between different HDMI speeds (1080p, 4K, 8K). A capture card item. A generic console with editable name and output type.
Puyo Puyo Chronicles probably deserves a higher rank for its puzzle modes, but I only played the RPG mode, which is very grindy and formulaic. There are a couple very funny moments in the story and if you're a Puyo fan you probably won't mind the slower pace.
There are no bad games on the list, I (usually) don't complete games I don't enjoy. Lower tier games are either not that memorable or have issues that make them harder to recommend.
2025 has been a good year of gaming for me. Here's a tier list of all the games I completed this year. Looking forward to the games I'll experience in 2026.
heads up that bluesky doesnt show posts from other languages by default on your timeline, and its cutting you off from a lot of the community
go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!
Merry Christmas Gaiden
Shiren is also on sale on the Switch eShop (NA only).
The Switch version is even cheaper at $18, but the eShop sale is only in North America.
Again, I'll say: if you've never played a Mystery Dungeon or you've only played spinoffs like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, there's never been a better, more content and QOL feature-rich Shiren game to start than 6/Serpentcoil. $20 for the base game alone is a steal for all the dungeons it comes with.

If you're using Windows 11, Microsoft is now surveilling you in a new way. This may already be turned on on your computer, and you would not be notified; it activates whenever they detect you are in a "game", which in my experience Microsoft often false-positives on

From what I can find in the XStation Discord, 1TB+ cards may have a higher chance of randomly exhibiting slow access times, which causes audio stutter in XStation.
2TB is supported by XStation, but not recommended. Also, you need a high quality card. SanDisk Extreme or Extreme Pro is highly recommended.

New video! TurboNanza is a PC Engine/TurboGrafx/SuperGrafx mod that includes S-video that uses the same colors as composite, which are much better and very different from the RGB palette on these systems. With the RetroTINK 4K's Enhanced S-Video feature, it's near-RGB quality! youtu.be/05x7jujrB3U
I would have preferred an option to simply switch to the original, pixellated sprites rather than an entire βClassicβ version. That or have each sprite completely redone in a more hand drawn, fittingly HD art style.
Your mileage may vary.
Here is a quick comparison vs my JVC D-Series CRTβs S-Video
Screenshot from a Tumblr post by ralfmaximus: Mozilla, in its finite wisdom, embedded LLM bots into recent versions of Firefox for the vitally-important purpose of⦠naming tab groups. Now, some users are noticing CPU and power usage spikes caused by a background process called Inference. Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false: If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false. Doing that turns off the AI chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out

Hold down A + C + Start as the fighter launches in Stage 6 to get a different musical track... a rejected tune from ActRaiser that until now has only been heard on the Misty Blue CD release! It's so much more fitting for Earthion and an absolute banger tune!
This statement tells me a few things:
1) They are scared. You don't acknowledge something like the current movement unless you have to.
2) Whomever wrote this and approved it is disconnected from whomever made the initial decision. Wild misalignment here.
3) They are lying. Outright.
