Unlike regular Apple Studio Display which is a joke in 2026, XDR version is quite something: 2304 mini-LED dimming zones, 120Hz 5K, 2000 nits etc β it's quite something albeit for serious money amount.

I just now need a better colored filament to match up with the door. And to tweak the corners to sit flush with the edges. And inset half a millimeter from all sides.

Years later and new Apple Studio Display seems a re-release of the same display tech with some port improvements. Such panels in the same chassis are less than 500 in China.
Gating 5K 120Mhz at 3000+ price is utter nonsense.

However, major issue is that if Xcode crashes you seem to lose access to all of the conversations since the Xcode was last started.
I donβt see them in recents drop-down and see no obvious way to load fromβ¦uhm, somewhere. I am not even sure where those conversations are saved, if at all.
Now that I am on 26.3 I started heavily testing how Claude Agent works inside it. For the most part is quite nice and I have not seen any particular issues in general use. UI to read Claudeβs plan and reasoning is quite nice looking and readable. Ongoing code changes are nicely highlighted.
Almost all of my work is still UIKit and heavy use of storyboards and xib files which means heavy use of Interface Builder.
That apparently is not the case at Apple since for at least 3rd straight major release I can feel that opening anything in IB becomes noticeably slower. Xcode 26 has at [β¦]

It's a new thing they just launched 2 days ago. If someone replies to you who is also bridged, then you get the reply on Mastodon from their Mastodon "mirror". I got notification from Bridgy Fed about two replies to a recent post coming from Bluesky.

I canβt understand why would anyone design drawers that do not fully open. Yet both this and even more popular Alex drawers only open about 3/4. I, very smartly, bought both of them before realizing this issue.
Alex is next target but that would require modification of the sides and a couple I [β¦]
This makes me so happy: I modded IKEA Nordli drawers to full extension using 11β¬ replacement slides. Iβve see people do this with Blum 560H slides but those are 29β¬ while I found equivalent model from GTV for ~10β¬. 400mm model fits into original cabinet screw [β¦]

Am I the only one who does not like using beta tools for primary work?
I see a lot of people using Xcode 26.3 RC without public issues leading me question myself am I being too conservative. I am still on Xcode 16.4 as I got burned few times in the past switching to .0 versions and avoid them [β¦]
