A 1,500-bed detention facility is coming to rural Maryland. We’re calling on ICE to account for what that means β€” and asking you to do the same. An Open Letter to DHS's Sustainability Team from Project Salt Box

⚫🟑MARYLANDERSπŸ”΄βšͺ

ICE wants to convert a package warehouse into a facility holding 1,500 people and calls it an "in-kind" change. We disagree.

The public comment window to share open comments closes Thursday 3/5.

Tell ICE what you think β€” we've made it easy.

A watercolor painting of a satyr embracing a young man from behind, gently peeling apart the man's flesh on his chest. Birds emerge from the opening in the man's chest. The man reaches one hand to back to caress the satyr's face, the other presses the satyr's hand to his chest. There's some circular celtic knotwork designs on the borders. The overall colors are warm golds and browns.

We Lived Happily during the War

And when they bombed other people's houses, we

was falling: invisible house by invisible house by invisible house-

I took a chair outside and watched the sun.

In the sixth month of a disastrous reign in the house of money

in the street of money in the city of money in the country of money, our great country of money, we (forgive us)

lived happily during the war.
