Using a Nikon D780 now. A few years old but still great.

Been ages, Coolpix 990, D50. Didn’t work great but that was 15-20 years ago. The serial implementation was not reliable enough. Should check it out. I’m concentrating on the star track mount tonight though.

Working off a SD card I think I’ll use a Python workbook. The camera has great remote camera operation but it’s in-app only so I can’t do something like automate it on a connected device like a Raspberry Pi or PC.

Trying out the Minitrack LX3 later. Will do a mix of long exposures and stacked sequences. Might cook up my own app to do the work. Already have a codebase in my ufo tracker project that has a good multiply/overlay algorithm.
