Yes! I actually just said this too! Tense is just not something I’m going to notice if the book’s working for me.
I really have to watch my own edits because sometimes I randomly switch tenses too and it throws me off
Most of the time if you ask me what tense a book was I’ll have to go look to be sure, because I dunno. Could be anything. I just don’t notice if it’s something good. If it’s bad - I’m probably ripping it apart in my head for a million different things anyways, tense is near bottom of the list
