I've always loved the start of a new year. Jan. 1 represents a fresh slate and anything is possible in the year ahead. The movie may not play out the way we expect but the surprises can be the best part, so I am excited about wading into 2024 with you!
Tuesday morning Skywave. Nature paints with an infinite variety of brushes. This morning the reflection from the sky created what appears to be an orange wave flowing across the pond. Beautiful, but by the time I got back with my surfboard it was gone! 😀

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! There's no snow in Florida of course, but a little decorating around the house (OK, a LOT of decorating) always lifts our spirits high. Wishing all of you the happiest of holidays and a bountiful New Year!
Another beautiful late autumn sunrise in Florida's Tampa Bay area. I love the sparkling lights mankind has created to celebrate the holiday season but nothing beats the real thing!

We get some spectacular sunrises on Florida's Gulf Coast every November. The day after Thanksgiving I ran out to photograph a gorgeous one, then, in a first, turned around to go back inside and saw a PERFECT rainbow in the west! Glad I didn't sleep in that morning. 😀
