After EA announced the Sims 4 Marketplace, I joked about making my own "billboard" for CC creators.
Well, it works! I finished a framework for main menu override that highlights free community content for PC/Mac. It updates automatically and I’ll be opening sign-ups for free creators soon!
The marketplace math: creators do all the work for free, company invests nothing, takes 70%. That’s a 100% margin built on independent contractors with no job security, benefits, or employment protections. it devalues game developers and artists too, and I really hope this blows in their face.
Players must not be forced to buy larger quantities of virtual currency than necessary to purchase a particular item.
Also I am curious if Europe will participate in this because the EU is setting up stricter rules regarding in-game purchases. For example:
Price transparency: The price of in-game content must be clearly shown in real money (Euro) next to the virtual currency. And this is the part I always hated:
I just can't believe they did this... for real... it was bad enough with Creator Kits... like, I like them, its good to have CC creators make content for the sims as a true content but...

Malicious files were briefly available on Mod the Sims today. I check all MTS script updates. The creator was able to regain control of his account & replace files.

I don’t know how to bring this issue to the forefront because it’s a feature many didn’t even know existed before!! But clubs used to show up spontaneously at their club hangouts when you visit. This doesn’t happen anymore! It was an amazing feature that made the game feel fuller and more alive!
Lot 51 has updated Core Library to v.1.39. This will solve custom careers blocking the Sim Picker (for travel etc.) with the Royalty EP without needing those careers to be updated.

Latest patch was not the worst we've seen mod-wise but a few mods definitely got struck harder due to the family tree changes. I love that RPO got modules though 🥰
M08 and M09 are still broken and that's why they are not available, the rest of the modules are working though in the latest update 😊

I think it's not too strange! I do have autism but I struggle with the social stuff the most, but maybe it's related I don't know lol. But I think I'm just slow att waking up and realise what's going on. If I've gotten my 8 hours I wake up faster and not as confused 😂
I'll just sit there in the dark for a while staring at nothing after waking up at night, takes me a good 15 minutes before realising that I just need some water or something 😂
