Besides the whole "if we don't win then the transgenders will mutilate your kids" nonsense, how do you use a filibuster to pass a law?

Besides the whole "if we don't win then the transgenders will mutilate your kids" nonsense, how do you use a filibuster to pass a law?
In case you missed it, Fox News reused old footage of Trump saluting soldiers in 2025, because when he just did so this month, he disrespected them by wearing a campaign baseball cap while saluting. And Democrats still think going on Fox is a good faith effort to reach out to conservatives.
Chart showing the proportion of eligible voters who did not vote, voted for the Democrat, and voted for the Republican in every presidential election since 1976. In all of them except Joe Biden's 2020 win, did not vote represented the choice of most eligible voters.
Clinton only had the support of 25% of eligible voters, the lowest level of support of any president since Jimmy Carter. But since he won twice running as Republican light, Democrats thought that's why he won and tacked even further right.
The problem with that strategy is that given a choice between a real Republican and Republican light, most people choose the real Republican. Clinton's wins were mirages for moving Democrats rightward, because both times Ross Perot sucked away GOP votes.
Since about 1992 when the Democratic Party decided the way to overcome three straight electoral ass kickings was to be more like Republicans.
(Whenever you make this kind of call, I imagine Commissioner Gordon saying, "Quick, to the Blacksignal!")
This goes a long way toward fulfilling my lifelong dream of seeing a Democratic party that is as afraid of their base as Republicans are of theirs.
Del the Funky Homosapien performing at the Oregon Marijuana Business Conference after party about two weeks after Trump won his first election by fraud.
A clean-shaven me with Tommy Chong and Alex Rogers at the Oregon Marijuana Business Conference.
Del with Gorillaz on #SNL? Damn, I was just smoking a blunt with that cat at an cannabis business conference in Ashland a few years back. He's a good friend of Alex, the organizer, and performed at many of the after parties. This is the best photo from a dark room, plus one of me, Tommy, and Alex.
It's a tradition. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tommy Chong used to blaze before workouts all the time.
I can't get over that he wants it called "The Donroe Doctrine." He'll slap "Trump" on everything else, but he's got to sully James Monroe's good name.
Sorry, I was too busy throwing my hands in the air and waving them like I just don't care.
A woman made an allegation she was raped as a 13-year-old child. It's a clumsy headline that leaves the impression they're calling a 13-year-old a woman.
How American that the enlisted sons and daughters of the veterans of the first Middle East not-war abbreviated OEF get to be veterans of the second Middle East not-war abbreviated OEF.
Am I mistaken in my opinion that the rap skills of Heavy D are severely underappreciated?
Yeah, as impressed as I am by drummers and keyboard players, somebody doing both those things at once kind of blows my mind. That end run on that solo sounds like someone pouring water into a tall glass. Crazy!
Tell ya whatβI somewhat agree. A POTUS gets one term, then the 2nd they're a lame duck? Let POTUS serve three termsβ¦
BUT in exchange, that new amendment now also contains a similar 12-year term limit for Senators and Representatives.
And not effective until the 2032 election.
Ah, then you must be as impressed as I am by the amazing solo in Starbuck's "Moonlight Feels Right". Probably the greatest marimba solo in rock history. Okay, so maybe the only marimba solo in rock history. Wait, I think EWF, no that was Kalimba. #AT40
