Not exactly a video gaming magazine, but in the 80s I have a TI-99/4A and I fondly remember 99er magazine (later 99er Home Computer magazine, covering more than just the TI). All the issues are on the Internet Archive now.
This is the most delusional thing I've seen all day! They really don't get how this couldn't possibly work, do they?
I think this is an example of that rule that says "if a headline poses a question, the answer is always no."
This is simultaneously horrifying and utterly unsurprising.
Being borderline face blind is rough. I thought the middle guy was Putin until I realized the guy on the right was. Is the left guy Steve Martin? I'm so lost.
As an American married to a Canadian, I get it!
Β―\_(γ)_/Β― I'm a queer guy who hangs out on Reddit too much and I've never heard the term before.
71460,2700 - why do I still remember thatβ½ CompuServe was where I got my online start, but my entire social life was the local BBS scene from about 1988 to 1997 or so. I met so many great people and had so much fun!
My Canadian wife almost never swears, but I've also watched Trailer Park Boys and Letterkenny, so I know how it really works up there!
I think they're delusional.
Self-checkout is awful, yes, but I love S&S for one reason - I can order groceries online and just go pick them up.
Is this a new one or is it the same article from 2016 that's been making the rounds again? I've been trying to find out if they're still Nazi collaborators or not.
Believe it or not, I'm not necessarily opposed to that idea. I loathe driving in cities and if I have to go to one I try to park outside the city and take public transit in.
I wish I didn't, but I live where I can afford to live and work where I'm paid as well as I can be without having to submit my soul to the corporate grind (I work in higher ed).

I never drive at a speed I feel is unsafe. Yes, that sometimes means I drive below the speed limit, especially in bad weather or on unfamiliar roads. I just don't believe "below the speed limit = safe, above = I want to murder people."
I am absolutely not trying to argue against reduced dependence on cars.
I only make bad arguments on social media, sorry.
I'm all for intelligent road design, and for making communities more pedestrian and bike friendly.
I am genuinely sorry that happened to you and your family.
Sure! We're arguing on the internet - the most pointless of pointless activities.
"This thing doesn't exist!" <shows example of thing> "Yeah well there are lots of those things!"
Anyway, my real point here is that I'm going to drive 80 on the highway when it's posted at 65 because I always have and I haven't even died once.
Of course not, but there'll always be car deaths as long as we have cars. Would forcing people to adhere to speed limits lower those deaths? Probably. Is the technology actually capable of doing that reliably? Despite what Subaru would have you believe, probably not.
There absolutely are people suggesting we ban cars.

Libertarian = "I'm a Republican, but I hate age of consent laws."
The safest speed is zero. Why not just ban all cars?
See, I know in saying this that there'll be a bunch of people who've never lived outside a city who are like, "WELL YEAH WE SHOULD TAKE A BUS LOL!!" and it's like, dude, I live 30 miles from work and 4+ miles from the nearest bus stop.
