I've added some more election predictions to my spreadsheet - I'm expecting Labour to hold Arbury, Cherry Hinton, and King's Hedges, the Lib Dems to gain Castle and West Chesterton, and the Greens to gain Coleridge as well as Newnham. More to follow.
Two more Lib Dem candidate announcements - Rosy Ansell in Abbey and Ahmad Rushdhi in Cherry Hinton. www.cambridgelibdems.org.uk/rosy-ansell www.cambridgelibdems.org.uk/candidates/a...

Demolition work will soon begin at the former Cuba Libre restaurant (previously Pizza Hut) near the University Arms Hotel. Here are some illustrations of the buildings being removed, and what will be built in their place - student accommodation and retail.
In King's Hedges the Lib Dem candidate is David Creek who is returning to the campaign trail after a very long gap - he previously stood in the ward four times between 1987 and 1990. www.cambridgelibdems.org.uk/in-your-area...
More Lib Dem candidate announcements for the Cambridge elections - their candidate in East Chesterton, where they have hopes of taking the seat from Labour, is newcomer Ania Bobrowska. www.cambridgelibdems.org.uk/in-your-area...
In South Cambridgeshire, where 45 councillors will be elected in 26 seats, the Britain Votes Now model shows the Lib Dems as most likely winners in all 26. This isn't completely impossible, but I think a small number of non-Lib-Dem wins is more likely. britain.votes.now/local-electi...
They even have vote share projections for individual wards and I think these do at least have the top two parties correct in most wards. Don't blame me if these start cropping up in election leaflets.
Ward-level projections for May's local elections in Cambridge from Britain Votes Now. They rate Labour as most likely winners in 8 wards, the Lib Dems and Greens in 3 each. Personally I don't think Labour are likely to do anything like as well as this. britain.votes.now/local-electi...
It seems that someone who doesn't like Wisbech very much has been editing its page on Wikivoyage. en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Wisbech
All the Cambridge local election candidates I'm currently aware of are listed on this spreadsheet. Additions/corrections very welcome. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

It looks like one of Olaf Hauk's ward colleagues will be resigning in Trumpington, resulting in a by-election on the same day as the other local elections.

YouGov have done fairly well when polling previous general elections. electiondatavault.co.uk/tables/polli...
Even in a time of startling polls, this one from YouGov is pretty dramatic, giving the Greens their highest-ever score with the pollster, and pointing to wildly unpredictable results in terms of number of seats.
Judging by the imprint on the leaflet, Dr Abu-Tayyem's election agent is David Carmona, who previously stood as an Independent in Newnham.
A new candidate for Cambridge City Council's Castle ward - Dr Khalid Abu-Tayyem is standing as an Independent. Dr Abu-Tayyem was also a candidate for Cambridge MP at the last general election.
It will soon be time for the March March march. www.marchmarchmarch.org.uk

This version of the chart also shows the amounts charged by the county council, the police and fire authorities, and the combined authority. Some areas also have parish councils which charge varying amounts.

Most of these changes look pretty sensible at first glance, though it will take time for them to be introduced. They are expected to be in place in time for a general election in 2029. www.aea-elections.co.uk/aea-represen...
Some non-photo ID such as bank cards will be accepted when voting. Tighter rules on political donations from companies, and on harassment of election staff. Parties can disavow nominated candidates up to 48 hours before close of nominations.
Other changes - voters won't be included in the open register (used by junk mail companies) unless they choose to be. Candidates acting as their own agents will no longer have to publish their home address. Nominations will close at noon instead of 4pm.
