It was pretty much an open secret that Steven was going to be the next HC after Bruce signed his last big contract so I don't really think that was the reason. But he left at a time where players who maybe wouldn't be as excited to play for his son couldn't leave without penalty. Which, uh, is worse
Have really fond memories of staying up late in college watching whatever Mountain West game was on CBS Sports Network that night
