Got tickets to see that noted "one hit wonder" James Taylor at the O2 later this year
I thought a one hit wonder was a group or performer who had one successful record then vanished without trace, not a hugely famous singer who has had a long and successful career, (One hit wonders at the BBC)
"Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong;
And I am Marie of Roumania."
-Dorothy Parker
We listened every week. It's my gold standard for Tolkien adaptations
Happy Birthday!
SPIERS&BODEN SPRING 2026 TOUR SAT 7 MARCH KCM CHURCH, FALMOUTH "Boden's impassioned singing brings fresh life to little-heard-songs, along with the perfectly balanced pairing of his fiddle with Spiers's melodeon." ***** The Scotsman
Very often people complain β¦ βwhy donβt you play in Cornwall?β Well today Spiers & Boden are coming to the KCM church in Falmouth β¦ so if you think youβre likely to say that in the future β¦ please come along today!
Plenty of tickets left from fixr.co/event/spiers...
There has been singing along #SimonAndGarfunkel
And now Simon and Garfunkel!
Drat! I forgot the opening ceremony was on tonight!
A little felted shrew smiling on a fungus on a log. They hold a little book with a leaf cover bound with tiny green string
Shrews are known for carrying a notebook with them to record all the small joys and memories from their days.
Shrew said theyβd let you have a peek inside theirs tomorrow.
Yes! No wig or false beard required!
He'll be fab!
You were! Also I think a two level bunk might be a duplex flat
I think the telly show tries to say things, but gets muddled. And it is the Year of the Sex Olympics with no sex. I don't think it's amazing, but I can't hate it either. I lack extreme opinions
Martin Jarvis is fabulous.
Gosh, I disagree with almost everything said about the telly. But that's usual for me. I think I'll pass on the novel.
IKR???
Simon Russell Beale is going to play Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar!!! Aaaaaaaah! *falls over* london.jesuschristsuperstar.com/cast-and-cre...
Driving me mad: where else have I seen this very distinctive Underwater Menace panel? All help gratefully received, but I've made lots of wild guesses already. @doctorwhoprophunt.bsky.social ?@zoesfeatherboa.bsky.social ?
Never!
Is there semi-naked wrestling with cannibals? I do hope so!
Casting call! Looking for a woman voice actor, 50+ who is versatile and a vocal chameleon / can play many different bit parts in an audio comedy.
Weβre recording in London on 13th & 14th April. This is a paid opportunity. Actor does not need to be autistic!

I think Castrovalva's heroic librarian is worthy of recognition! But then I suppose I WOULD think that.
Hurrah! I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you! It's Miss Hawthorne and Sergeant Benton solving mysteries in the 1970s. With scones.
That was gibberish! Sorry!
Because I like the original and I don't like the idea of making lots of changes to it that aren't adding in deleted scenes, but changing stuff that was there. I did like the Happiness Patrol reboot, but this feels too far for me. Still the original exists, so I'll watch that!
Scratch that, I definitely don't want to see the new version
I'm listening now, and I don't think I want to see the new version.
