i barely fear updates on Arch and that's like, one of the more likely distros for something to just fucking break

like these guys probably support like .TGA and .PCX files and they're basically handed a free library to do the format the half the fucking web is using these days and are just like "nah"

honestly at this point i blame the software as much as anyone else, it's 15 years old, it's an open format, like there's been a reference implementation available since 2011 and it's not even a viral license, you can fuck around with it or redistribute all you want, what are you guys even doing
