How come we have so much knowledge about UX and design, so many experts... yet I still need to select a category of emojis to search for a specific emoji, and I can't find it if is not the right category.

We are not indexing the Internet, is just a bunch of emojis, why can't we have global search?

It struggles a bit with the Piano. "Rootless" voicings are by definition rootless, but whatever.

I asked @claudecode.bsky.social to write some music in MusicXML format using some existing examples, and I must say I'm honestly surpirsed.

The outcome is not very creative, but is harmonically accurate and free of any errors!

I have zero connection to animation other than having watched it, but this article about technical lighting effects in cel animation and how these analog processes created effects almost impossible to replicate digitally is INCREDIBLY interesting!

Screenshot of Claude Code insights report with the following text:

"User asked for a README, Claude wrote one, and the user immediately nuked it with `git reset --hard HEAD`"
In one of the shortest and most brutal sessions, Claude dutifully created a README for the knowledge graph package folder. The user's response was to wipe it from existence with a hard reset β€” the only session rated 'not_achieved' and 'unhelpful.' Sometimes the vibe is just wrong.

LOL Claude Code can take your actions very seriously!

Being a kind a gentle soul goes a long way in this life. Don't let the madness of current world events, and even the pressure of your life, kill the kindness you are capable of.

A four cell image of a dude holding a dog like a baby with a sad looking cat in the background. The shot zooms in on the cat as the cells progress.

The first labels the person as developers and the dog as developer experience.

In the third cell, the cat is labelled as users trying to load the website you built.

How these people can't realise ATC could decide to do a strike any fucking day and bring the whole country to a grinding halt?

Lack of imagination in a domain that claims to bring futuristic?

It's official, I reached the age when I cannot sleep anymore. I don't know if is the social anxiety, lifelong trauma, or just the unhinged absurdity of current times, but I cannot just fall asleep like I used to.

Another option: Chinese disruption in the form of significant competition, attracting investors or somehow making the OpenAI/Nvidia/MS trifecta untenable.

I had to upgrade to mac OS Tahoe (corp rules), and now my mouse keys setup doesn't work.

I use a separate numerical keyboard to replace the mouse click to avoid RSI, and now it's useless.

Why Apple? Why?

My home address amd phone number was leaked somehow and I'm getting scam calls where they try to use it to convince me the call is legitimate.

Good news is that whoever leaked it are so incompetent that the actual address is wrong, so I always know anyone quoting that address is a scammer.

Dear ppl who are complaining that this image "has no alt text": the image is CLEARLY DESCRIBED IN THE SKEET. THAT IS ALT TEXT. Using the specific Bluesky mechanism to add an alt="" attribute to an image is ONE WAY of doing image description but some of y'all treat "alt text" as a magic incantation.

Generative AI is a societal disaster Governments are deluding themselves into believing investment justifies allowing AI to upend society

The AI industry wants us to believe AI superintelligence is the real threat from generative AI.

But that narrative was crafted to distract from the many ways genAI is being used to tear our societies apart, as we saw this week when a deepfake video rocked the Irish election. It must be reined in.
