You could come here and be stressed out! π
Thanks David! I'm always thrilled with those brief moments when the storms lift and the clouds linger along the peaks!

Martin Rak strikes again! What a moment.
Thank you! These photos aren't from this year; as I write this on Sept 27, the colors are more or less just getting started here in SW Colorado. Further along further north.
Thanks for the share! Aspens definitely aren't an invasive species in CO, though! Native as can be.
Thanks for looking and for your compliments!
Thank you for your kind words, Evelyn! I'm glad you enjoy my work.
Nature is everything
Gold + mountains + snow is pretty nice. Though I'm still longing to experience an autumn in the northeast someday.
You're welcome, and thanks for your kind comment!
He's got the mierdas touch.
Fog is pretty rare here in Colorado; needless to say aspens + fog = a giddy photographer.
I often think that backlit aspens look like stained glass. Or walking through a Klimt painting.
Yes, that certainly happens, especially for us photographers... You can really get swept away in the beauty!
I often wonder how old a grove might be, sprouting new boles and slowing moving across a mountainside over the centuries...
That's right, and the smell of autumn, and the bugling elk...
Thank you! There's nothing quite like the sound of the breeze going through the aspen forest.
Yes, that's correct! Each bole is sprout of the same tree; there can be many acres of aspens which are actually the same tree. I'm pretty sure that by mass these are the largest organisms on the planet.
Thank you, Rain! π

Golden light in golden aspens deep in the West Elk Wilderness, Colorado.
Walking through a grove of golden quaking #aspens is one of nature's most beautiful experiences, like entering a natural cathedral with sacred light. See my gallery of #Colorado #fallcolors photos here: www.mountainphotography.com/gallery/autu...
Congrats and wonderful photo, @kennymuir.bsky.social, with its stark, high-contrast b&w foreground tree against the softer, mystical background. That splash of light ties it all together!
