My workplace has become toxic.
An issue today came up.
The person who discovered the issue spent hours pointing fingers that there is a bug, gloating that they found a bug and making a nice big song and dance.
Could have just fixed it and had it in prod in 15 mins bro…

Not “Warm regards”.
Not “Thanks”.
Not “Regards”.
Just “Hugs”…and I love it.

It’s just amazing. I appreciate the idea of a bonus and I’m going to get it done anyway because it’s my job.
But after 6 months and passing PCI DSS it’s “what’s a bonus?” 😂
Unfortunately we’ve now had two :(
The next time a company says “if you get this impossible deadline done, there will be a huge bonus!” I’m going to ask for it upfront.
I’ll give it back if I miss the deadline.
