this isn’t just like a youtube video thing btw. this is my undergrad thesis film and is gonna be screened at the gene siskel film center in downtown chicago. extremely excited (and a bit nervous!) to get something i made projected on the big screen

before people get confused: the previous one i posted about here was something i was only the cinematographer for, this will be written/directed/produced by me

trying not to get too ahead of myself because it’s still in pre-production but my directorial debut short film is in the works right now and i’m very excited about it. no idea if it’s something my audience here would care much about, but i really hope some of you will watch it!!

update: sometime last night my discord server transcended past merely posting random numbers and began making tiddlywinks into an entire fucking religion. i’m watching a cult form before my very eyes

just watched paris, texas (1984) for the first time and i’m pretty sure if you tried to make a movie with colors like this in 2026 hollywood would just shoot you on the spot. the fact that they only had a budget of $1.5 million blows my mind

for everyone who moved to chicago in the last few years from somewhere warm and is experiencing an extended period of harsh winter weather for the first time: lots of thin layers trap warm air between them and will keep you warmer than one thick puffy coat. layer properly!!

aaaaa a friend just gifted me a set of metal dice themed to my character… i’m obsessed

started playing in a regular dnd campaign for the first time in my life recently and i’ve gotten so obsessed with my character i bought balder’s gate 3, remade her, and then sunk 20 hours into it in a week. this fictional character of my own making is taking over my life. help
