I really need to practise cooking big curved bratwurst in a pan so that they cook more evenly on the outside. Thinking of trying the steam-sear approach with some beer next time. Thanks for any suggestions, โcooking Blueskyโ.
Iโve been building a tool for simple financial projections.
Things like:
โข Could I afford to go part-time?
โข Should I downsize?
โข What if I overpay my mortgage vs invest more in a pension?
Scratching my own itch, but itโs turning into something that might help others too.
Hoping to share it soon.
All the best!

I've been unemployed for a few months. I now set myself pretend jobs to prevent the rot setting in. My son thinks this guy is funny, which is a good enough excuse to make something. Any requests?
Once again, proof, if you need it, that the best use for AI tools is to educate yourself and make your own way and your own future. If you put your eggs in someone elseโs basket, itโs all-too easy for them to dash it to the ground.
No problem โ I think youโve achieved that for sure. If I ever get around to implementing dark mode on my agency or personal website, that balance of contrast and personal branding is the most important thing to me.

Nice to see an implementation of dark mode in which the background isnโt so dark that it makes the white text difficult to read!
I donโt hate it but Iโve been twice and donโt think Iโll be back.
Wow fancy. ๐
More importantly: where the hell do you find cereal in an airport?!
It's a wonderful musical haven, for sure!
I was perusing my own website this week and noticed that, at some point, the blog posts which contain an old ACF field of gallery images were no longer showing the images (because I'd omitted the output from the block theme). So I fixed it: an example is permanenttourist.ch/2009/02/choo....

I have an old iMac at home and a Macbook Air for work, which I dock when I'm in the office. I've just found out that if I have the Macbook connected to the same wifi network at home, I can move my mouse between the two freely. The Bluetooth keyboard works on whichever device has mouse focus. ๐ฎ

โThe billionaires want us to believe AI will 'optimise' society, but there is a massive flaw in that logic. If you automate away the โmundaneโ jobs that allow people to earn a living and contribute to the economy, the whole system risks a collapse.โ

Tbh, the only deal-breaking issue I have with using WordPress.com is that the servers are in the U.S., which contravenes data privacy laws for most of my clients here in Europe.
Check out codepen.io/permanenttou...: the definition for the large stack affects its own distance from the preceding element.
@bell.bz This looks great and I've been a big fan of The Stack since it was published. However, using CSS Custom Properties is problematic when dealing with nested stacks: is that something which your approach has solved?
I'm not criticising the service, but if it's on WordPress.com then the data is still being hosted on someone else's platform. I'm assuming that the opportunity to export everything at will in e generic format is part of the deal?

Over 22 years into using WordPress and I still have things to learn. Super-useful geeky post from Rhys.
