I really cant stand him. Just a supreme populist. He named his favourite economists as Gary Stevenson and Grace Blakeley which just such a massive cringe.

love how we killed the old, frail anti-nuke ayatollah just to have him replaced with his young, healthy son who wants nukes and who just had his father, mother, wife, and child murdered on the same day by his mortal enemy. surely this will bring peace to the region

I remember hearing him talk for a long time after the chilcott enquiry on the radio and he DID seem somewhat repentent.

ah that was my standard goal - that was easy! there were some free kicks I still have in my head. I went to ravenswood school fair once with some mates who went there and we offered anyone who could beat me a tenner prize and we gave away no tenners that day LOL

I have heat pump, EV and some PV array. Its going to pay back in about 6 years which is great IMO. On Octopus Agile so basically the battery is removing cost peaks in winter and covering most of the house cost in the summer

I'm not sure I agree about 2. Deregulating the energy industry has led to innovation and products like agile octopus, and an increase in competition from what is inherently a monopolistic industry.

Look at other countries in Europe and how backwards their energy products are compared to the UK.

200 usd a month on
Claude is more than enough for most engineers.

Sorry that’s absurd. A good engineer using the 200usd a month Claude code plan would be hard pressed to hit their limits.

Spent 2 hours and vibe coded a cross platform Mac/iPhone password manager with keychain sync in SwiftUI. Opus is silly.

Tired: BrewDog has betrayed its punk roots by accepting private-equity cash
Wired: BrewDog's "punk" schtick was always an expedient marketing sham
Inspired: BrewDog incinerated billions of dollars of implied value and made global capital interests look stupid, finally fulfilling its punk mission
