I'm proud of how Deadpool came out, and I'm proud of each and every super-talented member of my amazing family.
It's going to suck not working alongside all of them every day, but I know we'll always be there for each other, because that's what family does.
And so we ended as a group of proud aunts and uncles helping to raise a new generation of game developers who know what is impossible, but are clever and resilient enough to do those things anyway.
We started out as a group of brothers who were too foolish to know what was impossible. As the company grew, I worried that we would lose that vibe and it would become more like a "regular job", but the people who chose to join us just made the kinship stronger.
Well... RIP Twisted Pixel. We survived almost 20 years of craziness, but it seems that a 2nd corporate spinoff was maybe one step too crazy to hope for, sunk costs be damned.
A lot of people say their coworkers are like family, but TPG truly was a second family to me.
So, my good buddy @elephat.bsky.social just up and decided to learn irl leatherworking to make a Skeletor costume for Halloween last year. He just joined bsky and posted a few pics... lookit that shit! He'd only been at it for a couple months!

There is something so sweet about the human capacity for enthusiasm. For a few days everyone in LA has been glued to Watch Duty and getting in the weeds of how water drops work. Now there are people out here who honestly have a favorite water plane that they are following closely and rooting for.

When TPG started, we'd quit our jobs & moved to Nowhere, IN. All pinching our pennies. But the guys knew how sad I was I couldn't see Lions & all pooled for Sunday Ticket for my birthday. I proceeded to watch them lose. Every. Single. Game. I get emotional just thinking about how good they are now.
Is it possible to get fired after a 10-2 season? We might get a definitive answer to that question soon.

One of the biggest things when considering features to add to my engine is how can I remove the most roadblocks/barriers between an idea and implementation. I don't like getting caught up on small problems.
Anyway, I need to make a tool to streamline the process of renaming my engine.

To be clear, I'm sure it's not anything Sennar is doing poorly, I just hate stealth mechanics generally. The only stealth-based game I can remember actively enjoying was Mark of the Ninja.
I went into Chants of Sennar mostly blind last night, and I don't think I've ever been more disappointed to run into stealth. I went from "this game is fucking brilliant and I might play all the way through in one sitting even if it's 20 hours long" to "I don't know if I can even play this anymore".
