Claude 3.7 for most things. I do see a lot of people saying grok 3 is very good for coding but I haven’t tried it myself. Also unsure how that integrates with all the tools
Hashicorp did a controversial relicense of some of its OSS.
Redhat never did anything like that.
Both had great sales to IBM.

After digging through github.com/NixOS/nix/is..., adding the cert env variable to the daemon's plist seems to have worked!
Hmm now I'm stuck. Seem to be in the same place as: github.com/NixOS/nix/is....
I've tried tweaking NIX_SSL_CERT_FILE, unlinking brew openSSL, reordering my PATH...
We've fixed the permissions but now we have cert issues downloading anything. setting SSL_CERT variables doesn't seem to work. Have removed homebrew openssl links, no dice.
`nix profiles list` is working again!
Ok, I didn't have a profile for my user in /nix/var/nix/profiles/per-user. Created them manually

Indeed, things are still messed up. Trying to install something, eg devenv doesn't work yet.
Ok, we're making progress! nix binary can be invoked! Now let's see if we can actually use it though...
Iterm2. probably not the fastest alternative but I definitely prefer native desktop apps where possible.
Ok I'm just wiping everything, profiles, /nix, and all. Can't fully delete my /nix/.Trashes folder because SIP is on, but hopefully that won't cause issues
