The campaign did not finish well, David Plouffe and all of that ilk wanted to play the “reasonable” game and it got us crap like Walz sucking up to JD Vance after calling him weird and insinuating he made love to couches. There was too much bullshit about normalization and not enough anger.

I think another layer for Rosen and Cortez Masto is that Nevada is hurt by a huge drop in tourism and less air travel would have made it worse. Not a valid reason since Trump is why tourism dropped but it is a reason.
