Just finished my first run of Resident Evil 1 as Jill. Despite being a teenager when the original came out, I'd never played it before. Game's good, even though some parts of it are downright hilarious.

Liquid ketamine would be my guess. Just completely dissociating in there.
A white guy with black hair, a short beard, a white t-shirt, brown pants, and gray sneakers sits in a white office chair in the middle of a largely undecorated room save for the lone potted plant watching from the cuck corner. The guy is sitting behind a black desk, atop which is a printer with no computer to speak of, a plastic bottle of... something, a book, a pair of black headphones, and the world's smallest glass of milk.
"Hey babe, whatcha doin?"
"Just reading alone at my desk in the middle of my undecorated office with a printer and no computer and a tiny glass of milk. Why?"
A white guy with medium-length blond hair and a short beard in a black coat and yellow t-shirt. He looks very tired.
I've now had a few people tell me at work I look like Leon from RE: Requiem. Apparently I give off exhausted dad energy, which... fair.
This is HANDS DOWN one of the best books Iβve read in a long time. GET YOUR COPY!
For every $15 paperback of Firewind's Accord I sell, I make under $2. I spent around $2k for the editor alone. I will likely never make it out of the red. If you get annoyed by indie authors constantly marketing, then I have nothing to offer you. Besides a book. For money. Buy it.

A peach-gradient background. The cover for Firewind's Accord is on the right (see other image's alt text for cover description). On the left are a list of tropes: "Office romance with elves and orcs and all that; Pro-immigration story; What's the trope where two people are forced to work together and eventually fall in love? Yeah, that one; Sex, drugs, and rock & roll!" And underneath everything: "Just think Warhammer 40k meets The Office, but without all the fascism."
A drawing of a half-Asian man in a gray hoodie and blue jeans with long black hair and an office badge on a lanyard around his neck. The lanyard is being pulled down by a shorter, dark-skinned elf-like woman with long silver hair pulled into a ponytail. She's wearing a silver necklace with a ruby pendant, a blue long-sleeved blouse, and black pants with her hand on her hip. They are framed by the outline of leaves and vines, and in the corners, L-R, U-D: a paper coffee cup, a black cat's head, a dagger, and a cracked smartphone screen. The title in the upper-right corner is Firewind's Accord, and the author's name on the bottom is David J. Stuart.
I wrote an urban fantasy/romance novel where everyone is welcome in the US, regardless of ancestry, religion, orientation, etc. Everyone, that is, except for fantasy alien people.

Every time one of my posts breaks containment, I remind myself if I ever become successful I'm getting myself a social media manager. Online people are weird.

Christ alive, playing with randos in Marathon is an exercise in futility.
The man has voted against his and his family's best interests for over 50 years, including his children and grandchildren. No. No, I don't think he'll change. I've tried everything to convince him to vote otherwise, but alas.
My Trump-voting dad has claimed on more than one occasion that we might have some Canadian ancestry. Do I call him for the first time in over a year about this...?
An hour.
I have a revision of a short story due on Tuesday. So I'm doing what any accomplished, focused writer would do: window-shopping for desks.

Wow! Who does your book covers?
I work in a place that sells video games. A new PokΓ©mon game just launched. Today should be a normal one.π

One thing you'll notice about Firewind's Accord is that, although it's an immigrant's tale, there's no π§ in it. Why? Because in my urban fantasy, they've already been abolished.

Just reached out to my Iranian friend in Dubai. Thankfully I heard back, but obviously she has mixed emotions about everything. Mostly feeling bad, though.
Hope your friends are okay. π€

And, funny enough, I toned down Jordan's depression after modeling it after mine because I worried readers might find it "over-the-top." Even though I assure you my antidepressants would disagree, considering how hard they work to keep me alive.
Exactly this. It's why I will only write characters with my mental illnesses, or I will have spoken to multiple people who have them.
For real. I can either have a job, or be more online. Can't do both anymore. π
I keep telling myself I'm gonna be more active on Discord, and then I always end up posting one thing and not returning for like three weeks. Even in online social gatherings I'm a hermit.
