Has this ever happened to you?
RIP Catherine OβHara. I still think about her performance in Beetlejuice all the time.

A screenshot from the ADS-B Exchange flight tracking website showing a flight with the callsign "VANCE1" and hex code ADFDF9. The aircraft is listed as a Boeing VC-25A (the model used for Air Force One). On the map, the flight path has been spoofed to create a large, pixelated portrait of a face in shades of pink and red against a blue background.
A view of the completed ADS-B flight path art. The spoofed signals have successfully rendered the "Curly Hair JD Vance" meme as a massive pixelated portrait over a map. The face is composed of bright red and pink trails, while the surrounding rectangular border is filled in with shades of purple and blue.
A meme image of JD Vance, edited to give him a full, thick beard and voluminous, curly brown hair. He is wearing a blue suit with an American flag pin and a bright pink tie, looking directly into the camera against a solid blue background.
A technical close-up of the ADS-B Exchange map showing the dense grid of spoofed data points used to "paint" the image. Each point includes labels for speed (80kt) and various altitudes (ranging from 12,000ft to 50,000ft). A timestamp from January 27, 2026, is visible, highlighting the complexity of the coordinate injection used to render the portrait.
It's an inflection point, a phase change, a new ability unlocked in creative ADS-B spoofing. We've seen primitive vector art before, but as far as I know never raster spoofing. (This isn't RF spoofing, this is sending bad data over the network to an aggregator.)

So you have any issues with coil whine or psu noise on this thing? I got mine a week ago and itβs not nearly as quiet as touted and Iβm sad.
I think this is a basic courtesy that should be extended to all! π
Seems really stupid.
What does it mean for something to be strange?
Yeah I agree. Making software more disposable is a double edged sword. On the one hand we get more junk, but on the other hand we can throw a lot of stuff out.
Thatβs not to say I have any better ideas, apart from getting everyone to move slower and take more care. But that flies against the immense headwind of capitalism, soβ¦
one of my initial worries about LLMs and programming remains more relevant than ever. the problem with software is spiraling complexity and few of us understand smaller and smaller pieces of the whole picture. LLMs are a crutch that further enables our descent into madness.
amen to this whole thread. Been thinking similar things.
Anticipating the post when youβre reduced to tethering to the kids iPad.
It is very odd.
that's cool! and interesting to know. well I'll be following and am always interested to hear about future developments. have fun
Hey is your source available somewhere?

I HATE COLLINGWOOD Wolfenstein 3D mod on floppy disk. This version doesn't work. :(
Australians, please raid your Uncle's old PC in his shed, and help me find a copy of this to archive.

Even if it worked perfectly I donβt see how having a robot voice tell me what to do would be preferable to just reading a recipe and following it.
Doctor I trust more than RFK Jr.
Iβd say βunbelievableβ if this wasnβt so utterly on brand for this LLM bs
We implemented internal in response to a lot of real world dependency issues. Thereβs nothing deranged about it imho. You may not have seen the issues but I certainly did.
Yes but those internal packages are not stable or maintained in the sense that they are not APis that the authors are committed to supporting, unlike their non-internal packages.
You donβt want to import packages that are not maintained and stable. Thatβs what internal is for.
Itβs open source so you can just copy it if you want to use it.

Incredible facts about Barrow Island There is no public access to Barrow Island as it is listed as a Class A Nature Reserve. It is home to 24 species and subspecies found nowhere else on Earth. Barrow Island is home to Boodie Cave, which is one of Australia's oldest archaeological sites and contains evidence of humans from 46,200 to 51,100 years ago. US energy giant Chevron was permitted to build its $54 billion Greater Gorgon gas extraction project on the island.
From a story about a new species of pseudoscorpion, this sort of highlighted the management of Australia in a nutshell

Here it is in action:
For "reasons" I am playing around with DVD video streams, and today I learned that DVD subtitles are bitmaps, not text rendered by the player. My copy of Terminator 2 Extreme Edition has this interesting subtitle track that gives details on the VFX, including some illustrations.
