Still not sure if we need Medicare for All?

Still not sure if we need Medicare for All?
Since 1994, immigrants have paid more in taxes than they receive in benefits every year.
Do not believe the lies you hear about immigrants.
They are good for society and the economy.
Voting should be as easy as possible. If someone wants to make voting harder, they don't want to prevent fraud. They just don't want you to vote.
That being said, our ability to vote doesn't matter if we don't use it.
Protect your right to vote. Use your right to vote.
Yeah, I'd TOTALLY trust readings generated by that device. π
We can legally get rid of him sooner than that if we have a Democratic Congress after the midterms.
It's hard work, but it's worth doing. As long as it takes.
OMFG. *This* was supposed to Make America Great Again??
might be more popular among kids than a standard patch
Thanks for re-upping this!
But back to my original point - don't let the naysayers and Debbie downers convince you voting won't matter. It still does, more than ever! We have the numbers, and they don't, and no amount of election tampering will work if ALL of us turn out to vote. Rant over.
Whaaat!? Make it make sense. Why on earth would independents like the war with Iran??
When you wave away evidence of LITERAL WAR CRIMES for⦠[insert reason here]⦠you have lost any claim to righteousness.
Unless nations and leaders and those who follow unlawful orders are held accountable, civilization has failed.
One day the NYT's editors will read these stories again and be ashamed of themselves. Mamdani called the attack "heinous," "criminal," "reprehensible," "terrorism," and "the antithesis of who we are." The insinuation that he's conflicted about this is disgraceful. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/n...
Yeah, this is very cute. BUT IT'S AI.
The fact that Donald Trump is going to try to subvert the 2026 elections doesn't mean he will be successful. We have shown before that we can fight back in court and win. The key is that we must educate everyone about what is going to happen and what they can do as well to defend democracy.
A handful of Republicans in Congress & Supreme Court can end this nightmare any time they choose, and history will remember them as saviors of the republic, no matter what terrible things they did to US in last 10 years: insane we cannot find a few volunteers for this plum deal!
Cor, sure would feel great right now if we were self-sufficient in renewable energy, and laughing at all the rubes reliant on global oil supplies. We'd have a bit of a swagger in our step today.
Anyone who says that cats are not affectionate either a) has never had a cat or b) did not treat that cat well.
that the Trump administration is trying to shut down a leading AI company because itβs unwilling to develop autonomous murder systems is terrifying, and should be of grave concern to everyone in the world
There is always *something* you can do. But you probably canβt do it alone. Look for the resistors, the helpers, and the compassionate in your community and join up with them!

the animating force in current Republican politics seems to be a form of dominance, perhaps best encapsulated by the famous "when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything". These are guys who never want to hear no, never want to feel they have to do a single thing they don't want to do
Wow, the resemblance to Barron is really strong in this one.
Pete Hegseth's murderous buffoonery, coming amid a lifetime in which he's betrayed everyone close to him and failed up from one disaster to the next, is a perfect example of how the appeal of Trumpism is that it creates a permission structure for people to openly be their worst selves
ICE is STILL in Minnesota and STILL terrorizing communities. Reporters that say otherwise are either uninformed (which....) or lazy (which... ) or just repeating regime lies (which... is also extremely bad).
People are still missing, people are and will be traumatized, businesses demolished...
Ugh. Voting is how change happens in the US. Our voting system is robust. Elections are run by the states. This ignorant cynicism and doomerism is profoundly counterproductive.

Pretty difficult to refute a single thing in this perfect assessment of where the f**k we are, from @iandunt.bsky.social:
1/2 Mullin cannot be Acting Secretary of DHS. While in the Senate, he cannot hold office in the executive branch. (U.S. Const., Art. I, Sec. 6.) If he resigned the Senate to become a DHS employee, he would be eligible for appointment only after serving in DHS for 90 says. (5 U.S.C. Β§ 3345(a)) -- and
