I would also like to add that while the first book published in 1983, the most recent published in 2017, I think. And she revised the older books later to fix some things and line them up for the new millennium. Nothing was written in response to HP, but it still feels healing to me.

I don't have time to go into great detail this morning, unfortunately, but it's got awesome world building, excellent character work, some intensely emotional moments, and a veritable ton of imagination. Far FAR better than HP
