Is that with the automatic Super Moon mode turned off, though? The difference on the 17 Pro between it being on & off make it seem like they're doing AI trickery...
my local park is full of hundreds of snow sculptures and someone has been adding museum labels

In the PA forest, mist lingers on the creek after a thunder shower. (2025)
I have a soft spot in my heart for the old term, "planetary parade", it's both more accurate and sounds way cooler!
It's a *language* model (the way it 'views' text is all about language, not numbers or even letters), it's trained on language not maths. But here you can also see its confident bluffing strategy, and it's easier to bluff with language than maths...
This will be a mix of baader-meinhoff & confirmation bias.
You'll have been recommended it based related to what you buy, but it's part of hundreds of (likely mostly bad) recs your brain has ignored.
Also genuinely could be it recommended it to you previously which is why it was on your mind...
If you liked this experiment, I published a full piece today in the same vein: a text that gets 100 years older with every section, from a modern blog post to a medieval chronicle.
It's a single story spanning 1000 years of English. See how far you get.

An e-mail from BT: "we're committed to giving you the best service, one you can count on every day, because you're at the heart of everything we do. For generations we've been connecting the UK, and now we're upgrading our network with the rollout of Full Fibre to bring faster broadband to millions of homes nationwide. All year round we invest in teams of engineers, cyber security specialists and technical experts across the country, working to keep your network strong and secure, giving you confidence in your connection. To continue giving you the connection and reliability you expect from us, we need to make price changes. From 31 March 2026, your prices will change in line with your terms and conditions. You'll find all the details in the table below."
If you're in corporate communications in 2026 and you think leading people up the garden path like this softens things rather than a direct non-time-wasting "We're increasing your prices" then you need to change career #bt
I'll go out on a limb here and say this experience is probably what has him completely agreeing. He screwed up, and he's certainly used "I was sick" a lot in that text, but your reply is mean-spirited piling on someone when they're down

A delicious cup of coffee
I've figured out the most important piece of astrophotography equipment I was lacking: a portable coffee machine. 3 flat whites deep. Easy targets only tonight, it's been almost a year since I had a whole night free to stargaze #coffee #m42 #orion #astrophotography
7th Sea sessions are always fun :-D Video format is a hobby project - I maintain a library that converts Ubiquiti's proprietary format to MP4, but it relied on Ubiquiti shipping tooling which they no longer do, so I'm deep in hex editor land :-)
I'm back at reverse engineering a proprietary AV container format after a game of 7th Sea!

I absolutely hate how much YouTube creators beep out regular words like, "Suicide," "Murder," "Rape" or a whole host of other words. Or they use newspeak terms like "unalive" or "[letter]-Word" for common, unoffensive words.
I've never had YouTube flag any of my videos for using any of these words.
Beautiful! Is this also in UV or are these flowers just that gorgeous pale blue?
Flowers are illusions.

Stormy seascape in reds, oranges, raw umber and indigo. Suggestion of land and rocks on the left side of the foreground, with waves smashing against them. A vibrant orange sky reflected off the water, and white foam and spindrift lighting up the darkness.
#workinprogress oil on Fabriano. Working with a palette that I wouldnβt normally use. #seascape
You're right, fair amount of startup. I use ollama + qwen2.5:14b (good on Mac, best w/Windows+nvidia). Learning time mostly figuring out how to prompt & what tasks are prone to hallucinations. It is pretty transferrable skill though if you have other projects needing this sort of tedious analysis
