Pi-hole is pretty great, I use ad-blockers at the browser level so I don't have to fiddle with a remote server. The gist is that you would buy a Raspberry Pi, stick it on your network and install Pi-Hole software. Attach a display and login as user `pi` and type `ip a` and make a note of the IP /1
