Well done!
It’s amazing how many top ten hits I feel like I’ve never heard before. I love that part, trying to discern a year from genre, instruments, lyrics…

Yeah, just the high score right now. There would be a ton of fun stats to track, but storing everything would be a pretty big level up on the backend from the current set up.
You bested me, I missed two today!
How’s your pop song knowledge?
Sort historic top ten hits in my new daily timeline game: music.onthis.day!
Ok, one more guess - Beholder?
Observer?
Steve Martin!
We’re planning a karaoke night where you have to sing your most hated song.
Mine’s “All I wanna do” by Sheryl Crow thanks to a far-too-short playlist on the Kinko’s Copies soundtrack while I worked there.
Ah, you found a bug I introduced in a recent code refactoring. Hilariously I did not see this bug because I haven't gotten the high score in a while. It should work as expected now (meaning it shows you beat the previous score, if there was a previous score)
What is “I stung a man in Reno, just to watch him writhe”?
Whew, thanks.
Ah, sorry about that. I just found a bug, and I think I've fixed it! Would you mind trying the same link/code again and letting me know if it works?
I wonder if we'd have even just a bit less expansionist tendencies if our country didn't share part of a name with our continent (and another).
My updated version of Dance Like Nobody’s Watching is:
DM Like Everybody Can Read It.
(Because at some point, after some breach, they probably can.)
Even though I watched the new movie a couple days ago, this is what my brain gave me this morning:

Happy New Year 2026
Yeah, apparently ~$225 ($7,500 today) for a 9-inch tall pyramid, which would’ve cost $5 within a decade.
I hadn’t realized they didn’t finish the monument till 1884.
The smoke alarm batteries died at 2am. Oddly, it wasn’t terrible timing, as I was up anyway. But I may not have been in the best state to set a ladder up on the edge of stairs going down. That said, the beeping has stopped and I survived.
Happy New Year!
I feel like the invention that most might blow Ben Franklin’s mind is using aluminum foil as throwaway food storage
Weirdly there were two Bastille’s in St. Louis - the one I’m talking about was a punk dive in west county.
35 years ago tonight I decided to be a vegetarian. I know the date because it was the first Jamnesty fundraiser concert at Bastille’s.
Of course, I really only ever ate bean burritos from Taco Bell, so it wasn’t much of a change.
I love how every British show has a Christmas special.
This year I watched Christmas specials of All Creatures Great & Small, Only Connect, House of Games, Hidden Treasures of the National Trust, and the Great Pottery Throwdown. And Ghosts - a US show, but based on a UK show.
You mean step one of vibe coding isn’t supposed to be “secure a domain name”?
For those who are more familiar with Fahrenheit, I’ll do the conversion for you: it’s -40°F.
@leapop.bsky.social You'll enjoy the starting word at letters.wiki today
Here's your Nobel Peace Prize - oh, just one thing, to receive it, we'll need one explanation about each of the 9 wars you ended, including the participants, why they were fighting, and what you did to stop it.
It’d be amazing to hear Trump try to list 18 countries.
Oops, typo, you accidentally added an ab- to the front of that word.
My main regret of adulthood is lack of videogame time
My kid has finished all the various endings of one and two. Meanwhile, I’m currently stuck on Hades himself (having lost twice so far) in the first one.
