It was hard to single out 9 games that made me who I am, but not so hard to figure out which ones moved me the most :)

Sakura - I saw a cherry blossom tree shedding petals in the wind in a parking lot this week. That image stayed with me. Daily Quillustration painted and animated in VR using Quill.
As long as you’ve played through the +5yo games that were catching dust in your Steam library…
(I still haven’t)
This must be my cue to also continue my Outer Wilds run… 🫠

Loving the whirlpool effect 🌊
With #witchhatatelier releasing this year, I’m very excited to share more of the game I’m working on which features a "very" similar magic system.
Here’s one of the special effects that plays when you initialize a water spell. Feedback/Ideas are very welcome!

Makes me wonder about other elements to consider excluding the player aspect…
Precisely. I kinda delved into a more Systems Design line of thinking here, which encapsulates states with this bucket of buckets structure, broadly speaking. Moreover, I do agree time is an inevitable factor (and even a central element/mechanic in plenty of games!)
This definition makes me think about where the element of time fits in… some states might be, in a quantitative sense, ephemeral, often inevitable short experiences that precede other states. However, I feel lost as to what defines a longer state, other than being a sort of “superset” of states…
HNY! 🎆
Going over my old stuff, it’s cool to see the game come alive ever since. Can’t wait to share more stuff over the coming weeks/months ❄️
I finished a lot of the major systems throughout the year, although I still gotta figure out a few remaining core features. Currently working on the core of the game using everything I’ve built so far, but it’s still missing polish.
