It’s giving Papa John when he had his brain meltdown.
Agreed, that looks horrible. If I was a rich person, all of my cars would be red, yellow, orange, purple, green, etc. No boring colors allowed.
Come on New York Post, don’t make me like the guy even more than I already do! (News flash: young people like socialism, only ignorant boomers are scared of that word)
Cheney died, Mamdani won, Prop 50 passed, and a wave of elections won blue. Finally an Election Day that feels hopeful and happy instead of grim and depressing. We’ve got a long way to go, but this is a step in the right direction!
I vote Firehawks. I’ve run them on countless cars and was always impressed with their grip and lasting a pretty long time. Plus the tread pattern looks cool.
Fuck ABC for bending the knee to the malicious fuckwit (Donald Trump). Using a worthless fuckwit’s death to go after everybody that isn’t openly grieving is a new low, even for this administration. Straight up North Korea bullshit.
Right? Why are people posting condolences for a far-right shitheel who himself downplayed school shootings and said that gun deaths are a worthy price for gun rights. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Sick of seeing all these “enlightened centrists” acting like Kirk was some kind of a saint. Every single position he had was the worst take imaginable, and his organization was promoting harmful bullshit. Truly nothing of value was lost today.
No idea what compels trashy people to blast loud fireworks past midnight, I hate it.
Given the world we live in, is living to a really old age really all that desirable? I’d rather just have a good time now.
Being able to open the windows at 6:30pm for a nice breeze in June is severely underrated. Delta Breeze is A+++
100% agree, but sometimes I like to mix it up a little.
As somebody that was born and raised in NYC, I never had any fear of using the subway and used it regularly from the age of 13 onwards. Only racists and red-state fearmongers think the subway is scary, when it’s really quite safe and a great cheap way to get around.
A 2002 BMW 325i touring (wagon) with a 5-speed manual. Stock wheels, gray exterior, black interior. Rear suspension is sagging a bit due to all the cargo in the vehicle.
Made the drive back in 11 hours flat. Only made two stops for fuel, one in Quartzsite and one in Bakersfield. Brought food and water with me so I didn’t have to make a stop for that. Such efficient drudgery! Managed 27mpg even with a car full of stuff averaging 80mph, quite pleased with that.
BMW E46 touring (wagon) absolutely full of stuff (home goods, toiletries, car parts).
Driving back to Sacramento today, absolutely packed the 325it to the brim. Currently listening to A Day To Remember, big “leaving this town” vibes.
3 stops total on this trip (2 for gas, 1 for food), continuing to average 28mpg. Gonna aim to get it done in only 2 stops on the way back, I can just bring a sandwich with me or something. Yes, this is my lame version of the cannonball, just without as much speeding (I like fuel economy).
Mmm so now there’s talks of the US getting involved in Iran, could we please not do that? I still remember the Iraq war and the blunder that ended up being, does nobody ever learn from history? It wasn’t even that long ago!
9 hours down, 3 hours left, smooth drive so far. Averaging 28mpg, still listening to Soilwork. 12 albums (1 is a double), a compilation album, and several EP’s means I have plenty of material to work through. Maybe In Flames for the return trip?
I would say ok, boomer but uhhh Trump’s even older than that. Man spent years mocking Biden when he’s just as senile, if not worse.
It’s a cute house, but as somebody that lived in the Phoenix area (including Chandler), those huge windows become a liability when it’s 110°F for a month straight.
Gross. That guy must be in an alternate dimension, because all I’ve seen is a creepy old felon/sex offender/con-man get ahead while incoherently blubbering about how he’s the victim for the last 9 fucking years. And thanks to Trump I realized that a sizable portion of the US is abhorrent and stupid.
Man, after driving a misfiring 540i with a trailer attached and a U-Haul truck with a car trailer, the 325it feels like an absolute rocket. 190hp, 5-speed manual, glorious. Got my V1 as well. Listening to the entire Soilwork discography start to finish, let’s gooooo
That was yesterday, now I’m doing the final drive, a solo round trip in the 325it to pick up some remaining stuff that didn’t fit in the truck + doing some final cleaning. Roughly 12 hours each way, fun times. Listening to the entire Soilwork discography from start to finish on this drive.
15’ U-Haul truck with the new 7.3L Ford Godzilla engine, U-Haul car trailer, and 2004 330i ZHP wrapped in a mint green color. Somewhere around Santa Clarita, CA so the scenery is nice too.
The next phase was hauling everything else in a 15’ U-Haul truck, along with hauling my girlfriend’s E46 on a trailer. Aside from the physical stress of loading and unloading a whole house of furniture and stuff (I had a friend help) this was pretty easy. No issues with the truck or trailer.
Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 15mm deep socket jammed into a coolant hose to be used as a fitting to connect another hose to it.
Loop completed. I’ve had to do this on a lot of E34’s to bypass the heater valve when it stocks and blasts heat in the middle of the summer, but this was the first time I had to do it as a roadside repair.
And then around Stockton the heater aux water pump blew up and let all the coolant out in a rapid manner. I ended up having to McGyver a fix, using a 15mm deep socket as a fitting to create a loop to bypass the whole heater circuit. Worked out fine, but man what a stressful trip this was!
A dark blue 1995 BMW 540i 6-speed with a 5x8 U-Haul trailer attached via a somewhat sketchy hitch.
The next drive was in my 540i, towing a 5x8 U-Haul trailer with a bed and some basic belongings. Cats were in the back seat (they hated it). Went easy enough for 4 hours but then the 540i developed a gnarly misfire so I had to push though the next 8 hours on 6 out of 8 cylinders.
A beige 3 bedroom house with a 1 car garage
First drive was in the 325it to find a house to rent within a week. This was physically the easiest part but finding a decent place to rent in a week was way too aggressive of a timeline. Got it done though, and now I have a house with a garage.
Been moving from Phoenix to Sacramento the past few weeks, needless to say it’s been a ton of stress and work. So many drives and flights. I’m happy to have moved but man will I be glad when it’s all done.
Week 1 of being (intentionally) unemployed. I have never been so well-rested, hot damn.
Dark blue 1995 BMW 540i 6-speed, lowered on coilovers with Apex ARC-8 17x9 wheels, parked in a BMW dealership employee parking lot, with a factory BMW windshield sun shade.
