this only goes for mersharks not trying to appear human though, as mersharks trying to fit in have hair in their human forms.
being in this form drains energy over time and so many mersharks need to rest and "recharge" after a while using it

need to make guides to moʻo hair but as i make them more a sea creature amalgam i havent clarified that ewaʻs hair isnt hair

This is likely due to prey capture and processing methods
