I saw an early screening of the first half of Up and recognized Pete Docter as I was leaving, so I have the bizarre distinction of getting to bug out about that opening sequence to his face. He clearly did not take my critique of “Why the hell would you do that to me?” into consideration.

A midi player that replicates the Game Boy speakers for accuracy is the kind of cool that caught me off guard, where I didn’t even know I wanted it until they mentioned it.
But the cartridges are idiotic. It’s sort of neat, but having to change carts every song is off-the-charts dumb. It ruins it.
