The US economy lost -92,000 jobs in February, a far cry from the +50,000 it was expected to gain. This is the 5th month out of the past 9 that has seen net job losses, for a total loss of -6,000 jobs over the past half year.

S OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting
II
Today, the Court takes the astonishing, unexplained step
of staying a state trial court’s order before the state high
court has had a chance to weigh in. To do so, the majority
had to conclude that it has jurisdiction to act, that acting
now is consistent with the bedrock federalism values under-
lying its jurisdictional limits, and that the equities favor
granting this relief despite the Court’s repeated admoni-
tions to proceed cautiously when intervening in state elec-
tions or court proceedings. The Court goes badly wrong at
every turn.

 OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting
Appeals. Supp. App. 102–103. Besides, even if the Appel-
late Division denied defendants leave to appeal the denial
of stay, defendants still may seek that same relief from the
Court of Appeals directly. N. Y. C. P. L. R. §5519(c);
§5602(a)(2) (permitting a litigant to seek leave to appeal
from the Court of Appeals “upon refusal by the appellate
division” as to “an order of the appellate division which does
not finally determine [the] proceeding”).
Until defendants try to obtain relief from New York’s
highest court, this Court cannot and should not act. That
defendants have not taken that modest step should have
resulted in the denial of the stay they seek.3

To me, the NY redistricting case feels like a constitutional crisis in miniature. The Supreme Court is issuing orders it "cannot" issue, Sotomayor explains in her dissent. Yet it did so anyway.

So how should the NY courts react to an order that should never have issued?

Trump’s Iran War is not going to be ending anytime soon. And calling for a country to surrender unconditionally means it is unarguably a war that requires a declaration of war.

Darkly funny he had enough self-awareness to revert to "Department of Defense" here.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar are discussing withdrawing from contracts with the U.S. and canceling future investment commitments in the U.S. to alleviate some of the economic strain imposed upon them by the Iran war.

These are war crimes, violations of the Geneva Conventions.

Increasingly I think we should turn the whole Trump cabinet over to the ICC to be tried at The Hague.

Netanyahu Finally Found a President Willing to Buy Into His Iran Dream The only way for the Israeli prime minister to redeem himself after October 7, 2023, was to turn that calamity into a region-altering strategic triumph. For that he crucially needed the U.S.

Netanyahu has been wrong every time he has recommended some new military action to the US because his interests are more personal self-preservation than security.

At this point even minor sabotage attacks on refinery capacity and pipelines anywhere around the world would start crippling the economy VERY quickly.

🚨 This is from FBI interview #2 by the FBI of the woman who was 13-15 when she said Donald Trump sexually assaulted her.

If Hillary can be subpoenaed, then Trump who knew Epstein and appears countless times in the files, must appear before Oversight.
