Ok I finished. Considering they had to wrap up the entire epoch in 6 episodes, they certainly did that. There’s bits I can see make sense in a way but boy howdy was it frustrating and unsatisfying and I can’t imagine how fans of the books must feel.

Latimer the coelacanth merman, his face looks like the original Goh Hamazaki with loose shoulder length hair and a big scar running from the left side of his forehead, across his nose, to the right side of his chin. He has thick, muscular arms and chest with a soft, fatty midriff, and legs covered on coelacanth skin that looks kind of like a pair of fish skin tights.
