After Pat Tillman inspired this writer to enlist, he discovered his own family legacy In his new memoir, “Roadside,” Iraq veteran Dylan Park-Pettiford tells the unlikely story of his decision to enlist in the military. Or at least, he thought it was an unlikely story.

lol that’s the stylistic choice of the editor. And I think he chose to do it that way because that’s how the creators of Alien stylized it.

Took a few well-deserved days off from my corporate job and spent yesterday doing nothing but lazing in the blazing Phoenix sun by a pool with a cocktail and @dylanpark.com’s book… which I started and already finished.

As I told him: I chuckled, I laughed, and then I cried. 10/10 recommend.

It’s incredible what human beings are capable of, yet we’ve spent a majority of our history killing each other over arbitrary lines on maps, imaginary deities, shiny rocks buried in the ground, and skin pigmentation.
