That said, Bluesky’s been making good updates & getting more of a general userbase recently where I’ve not been on Mastodon in a while.

After all, the Switch was a combination of existing ideas to begin with. Console + Mobile. This is that now + “PC” (when it comes to the type of games it then accommodates.)
FWIW, a console (that’s also mobile) then adding mouse support for mouse-first games (RTS, strategy, creation-based games, etc.) or might be otherwise a preference (FPS, etc.) is somewhat of a novel idea we’ve not really seen others attempt (if they seriously make it a core feature & not a novelty.)
One might come to terms with how explored the medium has become as well.
We’ve seen good ideas like 3D, analog sticks, motion, VR/AR, touch, mic, mouse, keyboard, rumble, online, etc. where some of those aren’t breaking through or are just expected.
Software can also enable innovation. Yet to see.
I’m mostly just saying how iteration can still give good results. The Switch was a great idea, but the hardware was completely showing its age.
They did call it “Switch 2”.
Bigger innovation probably would’ve meant it’d be given a name of its own.
Sometimes they need to improve a great idea until the next one comes along rather than forcing things.
NES => SNES, PS1 => PS2 (looking externally), the DS variants, etc… all iterative & great.

It can be a form of “verification” since one needs to have control over a domain to have it as your username, but it’s completely free unlike other platforms (as long as you already have a domain.)
It can also be nice as a marketing thing to make people more aware of one’s website.
