Having to write these bios gives me a sense of existential dread. In other news, some people on other platforms think I occasionally have interesting things to say. #medsky twitter @arghavan_salles IG @arghavansallesmd Tik Tok @arghavansallesmdphd

This is a message a lot of y’all need to hear, so I’ll keep saying it in as many different ways as I can

Asking if people are “begging” for children to be bombed is not a serious question, and you’re either lying or stupid to insist it is. I won’t respond to you further.

Tbh even if they don’t do that, I doubt Tr*mp will persist for too long. He’s going to get bored, declare victory, and move on, leaving Iranians in the lurch with an even-more-hardened regime.

We have the most incompetent, malicious people in charge of a deadly campaign against relatively competent, evil people, with Iranians stuck in the middle. The US can’t even get its story straight on what the goal is, much less be able to carry it out (whatever “it” is)

My senior year of college, my roommate‘s best friend killed herself. I had seen her in the dining hall the day before, beautiful as always, and apparently vibrant.

You never know what’s going on with people — remember that when you go out of your way to be cruel.

I have a lot of fears and concerns about what will happen, how the bombing may evolve, potential civil war, etc. I don’t really see a way that this helps, but I understand the desperation of those in Iran who are grasping at straws. All we can do is hope for the best at this point.

Here’s another thoughtful post from a fellow Iranian. Everyone who’s so quick to call me names should read this. Perhaps you will start to understand I’m not some lone psycho. I’m trying to represent my people, even though none of you want to hear what they have to say.

06.03.2026 02:13 👍 13 🔁 1 💬 2 📌 0

I don’t think you understand. They literally say they will risk their lives (meaning life or death) to eliminate this regime.

No one is keen to die under a bomb. They are hoping the destabilization will give them a chance to overthrow the government.

06.03.2026 02:08 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

That is not my position. I am telling you many Iranians inside Iran are willing to risk death for a chance at getting rid of this regime. You don’t have to take my word for it—many of them posted videos and audio in January. They are posting on social media now, when they can connect.

06.03.2026 02:05 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

For sure. Everyone is scared. That wasn’t the question. I said it is unlikely US bombs will make Iranians support the regime more. Do you think they will?

06.03.2026 02:02 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

They have said it. They went into the streets in January for mass protests, saying they’d rather risk dying than live under that regime. But at this moment, what I’m saying is some prefer the risk of whatever the US is doing, knowing the motives are bad, over certain death under the regime.

06.03.2026 02:01 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

By peace, you’re thinking of US and Iran relations, ignoring that Iranians would still have to live under the regime that kills them. That’s not peace to them.

06.03.2026 01:59 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I agree with you, but just so you know, the IRGC has put out a message saying anyone who they perceive to support “the enemy” will be executed. Don’t assume lack of mass protests means support for the government. They are already being questioned at checkpoints around the country.

06.03.2026 01:55 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

How many relatives do you have in Iran who are directly affected by what is happening? It’s easy for you to condemn them to living under this regime or judge their assessment of the situation when none of it affects whether you live or die.

06.03.2026 01:54 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

I’m honestly not sure what you’re trying to communicate.

06.03.2026 01:52 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I think people in Iran are quite aware US-backed regime change is not a winning strategy. I don’t think they want Tr*mp to install a new government. They want to do it themselves. They just need a little help, and to the extent Tr*mp’s goals overlap with theirs, they’ll take the risk.

06.03.2026 01:51 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

I’m not even sure they get past basic reading comprehension tbh

06.03.2026 01:39 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

I think the people who want revenge on the US are mostly the ones already aligned with the regime.

06.03.2026 01:38 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I doubt that supposition is true. My guess would be the vast majority of those people who “mourned” Khamenei’s death were regime supporters and relatives. Obviously can’t prove it, but that’s what I suspect.

06.03.2026 01:38 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I agree with you, but the problem is they have no weapons and they’re up against a strong military and a regime that has no problem killing its own people by the thousands. That’s what they’ve learned from decades of trying on their own.

06.03.2026 01:37 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Most Iranians don’t hate the US. Stop believing propaganda.

06.03.2026 01:36 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1

How many more Iranians should die protesting their government? Tens of thousands died in January. Should they just keep doing that every couple of years ad infinitum? This is what people are struggling with. I have been clear on my position, even as you and others twist my words.

06.03.2026 01:35 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

The word I used in the thread you’re responding to is “some.” I have also said “many” or “a lot.” None of those mean plurality or majority. I haven’t said that bc I don’t have any data on the proportions.

06.03.2026 01:34 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

What did I say right before that?

06.03.2026 01:32 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I don’t understand this line of questioning. It’s not like they have a choice to stop the bombing. It is happening, and many are hoping somehow they will be able to take advantage and topple the regime.
