Well, hello world!

State of the Future is a new think tank (from @gavinfreeguard.com) for public servants and others who believe data, digital, openness and innovation can deliver better policy, better services and better outcomes for people.

I served mum & dad some risotto recently and then popped back home for something (3 mins away). When I got back she was still drinking her tea and ignoring it. She did eat it but when I asked her about it later she say that it was ok but was a bit cold 🫠

How can I communicate to Roxy that it is raining outside? It is really annoying to get up, get dressed and take her outside only for her to refuse due to inclement conditions 🌧️🐾🌧️

We have spent three days emptying and dismantling two cupboards and emptying a third so we could move that one and give access to the surveyor on Tuesday. No sign of a cupboard. It’s either at the other end which they both swore it wasn’t or it is a room of requirement #CarerLife 2/2

Mum can’t get safely round the bed after her hip fracture. We are getting rid of most of their bedroom furniture and having one large wardrobe. When the guy was measuring up dad sidles up with his walker, said β€œthere is a built in cupboard behind that wardrobe” drops mike -exit 1/

We took advantage of the strange blueness yesterday to see them move the beach back from the harbour at West Bay
