I took a similar class in undergrad, as well. The guy who taught the class in high school was a card-carrying atheist/agnostic. The college professor was an actual, honest-to-god (heh) preacher.
It was always kind of silly to me and, yes, we went to church every Sunday, but I spent most of the time looking at the statues and stained glass and randomly flipping through the missal.
But, junior year of honors English was "The Bible as Literature" and, yeah...
I would die for them.
