On April 9, the House Armed Services Committee will speak with military leaders about the state of military food programs. Grateful to @DonBaconNE02, @RepJenKiggans & @RepHoulahan for championing quality of life improvements for our service members. armedservices.house.gov/calendar/eve...
Fort Stewart, Georgia:
π° Money collected from soldiers: $17 million
π₯« Money spent on food: $2.1 million
So where did the rest go? Because this soldierβstuck with stale bread, broken drink machines, and a DFAC rated Dβsure isnβt seeing it.

Y'all wanna see some bugs in a soldiers meal. You can change the name back to Fort Bragg but doesn't change the meal quality.

Recently @USArmy_FtCarson was back in the news for a previous review. They just didnβt take the hit, they took the reviews and made improvements. Take a look for yourself

The survey is anonymous, and I wonβt see the dataβthis is purely for research.
Iβd really appreciate it if you took a few minutes to share your thoughts!
Why does this matter? This study will be published through an Army publication and could help shape future policy on how the Army engages with social media for recruiting, retention, and communication.
I had the opportunity to be part of a research study with Georgetown University, and the researcher is looking for your feedback on the Armyβs relationship with social media.

Hots&Cots has always been multi-branch, because service members across the military deserve transparency in housing and dining. Whether youβre stationed on a US Navy ship, at a USMC chow hall, or grabbing a meal in an US Army DFAC, your experiences matter.

Proof that leaders pay attention: Within 15 minutes of a review about soldiers without heat, leadership was already engaging with the right teams to fix the issueβeven before I reached out. Your voice on Hots&Cots makes a difference.
Some neat new features coming to iOS users! Iβm adding shortcuts and Siri integrations.

As a white male, I never thought about this issue during my service. But hearing from service members, especially women, has opened my eyes to how critical something as simple as a functioning lock is to feeling safe in your home.
At Fort Cavazos, a soldier was charged with breaking into barracks rooms and assaulting others. For women in the barracks, the lack of secure locks creates a daily safety risk that canβt be ignored.
Did you know the DoD Housing Manual doesnβt regulate door locks in barracks? No minimum standard. No uniform requirements. And as far as Iβm aware, no service branch has its own regulations either.
