#Artgust Day 27: Ocean
Went back to my roots and made some soap! I also added the bars to my shop, if you want to pick one up for yourself :) alchemists-attic.com/products/han... #soap #artisansoap

Artgust Day 26: Glitter
Decided to do a little experiment today to see which glitters would sink and which would stay suspended in my resin. As expected, the super chunky stuff sank, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well the medium sized pieces stayed evenly distributed! #glitter #resin
#Artgust Day 25: Metropolitan
I'm a little behind now, but I'm going to finish all these prompts, darn it! I struggled figuring out what to do for day 25's prompt, but eventually decided to try my hand at collage. I'm glad I did, it was really fun! #collage #city #metropolitan
#Artgust Day 24: Alien
Who left this strange message pointed at the stars, and what are they trying to tell us? (I tried gouache for the first time- there's def things I would change if I did this piece again, lol) #gouache

Artgust Day 23: The Passage of Time
Clocks!
#Artgust Day 22: Monochrome
Felt like chilling, so for today's prompt I just did some doodling. It was fun trying a bunch of different styles and things :)
#Artgust Day 21: Monster
I made a little friend! This was an upgraded version of a project I did many years ago, and I think it was definitely an upgrade! I was debating adding custom little monster friends to me shop- what do you think? #polymerclay #monster
#Artgust Day 20: My Favorite Place
I didn't actually finish today's project... I got part of the way through and got tired of working on it (and added rainbow squiggles). Perhaps someday I'll go back and finish it, but for now I'm letting it sit for a bit. #painting #selfportrait
A marker drawing of a very wobbly purple dragon It has a cloud with the sun peeking out above it.
A crude marker drawing of an animal that appears to be somewhere between a dog and a lion.
A marker drawing of a little duck pond, with a couple of trees, a park bench, and a picnic surrounding it.
A page full of scribbles. The figured of a snail has been filled in among the scribbles. It has a blue shell and is leaving a trail of slime behind it.
#Artgust Day 19: Pareidolia
I dragged my friends in to help with today's project. I had them draw a bunch of scribbles for me and then did my best to turn those scribbles into things. It was a lot of fun!
#Artgust Day 18: Under the Surface
For today's project I tried my hand at making a picky pad- a small mat filled with beads and charms for picking things out of and fidgeting with. It's very satisfying to play with! #pickypad #asmr #satisfying
#Artgust Day 17: Journal
I made my first ever junk journal! It's definitely a bit messy, and I'd choose some slightly different colors for things next time, but I'm feeling pretty good about it for a first attempt! #junkjournal #bookbinding
#Artgust Day 16: Scale
Today I transformed into my "peak form" as one friend put it. This was a fun little project, but now I have to figure out where to store this bow tie??? Somehow I don't think it's going to fit on the rack with my other ties... #bowtie #tophat #crafts

#Artgust day 15: Original Character
I'm finally getting back to my roots! Here's the set of tree themed dice I made for my current d&d character, Sheila :D

A black and white, painted, square canvas that looks like the neon tile from the periodic table.
A painted tile of the neon tile from the periodic table, glowing under a black light. It is mainly green, with a little bit of blue and orange.
A painted square of the neon tile from the periodic table, glowing bright green in the dark.
#Artgust Day 14: Neon
I went pretty straightforward with today's prompt, but it was still a lot of fun :) #neon #chemistry #painting #glowinthedark
#Artgust Day 13: Luck
I left today's project up to chance... will I have to arrange flowers while standing 4ft from the vase, or will I have to sew while wearing oven mitts. Let's find out!
A board covered in clay, shards of mirror, and many strange colorful objects that appear to be scattered randomly across it.
looking at a bunch of mirror shards though a circular viewfinder. The mirror shards reflect many small objects that appear arranged in rainbow order.
#Artgust Day 12: Reflection
I wasn't sure I'd be able to get this to work, but I did! It's a bunch of random stuff, and then you look through the viewfinder at the mirror pieces and bam! Rainbow! :D

#Artgust Day 11: Game Night
I designed a board game! Here's some of the character cards from the game, but if you want to hear more about the game itself, I'd suggest going and watching the youtube video I posted about it today: youtu.be/EXnLriV_L3U :D

#Artgust Day 10: Art Fears
Today's art project was a bit of a new one for me. I don't normally work in watercolor because I have a tendency to overdo it a bit. For working in a medium that I don't think I'm very good at, I feel pretty good about how it turned out! #watercolor #flowers
#Artgust Day 9: Technology
Today's art project is a mix of new and old technology. Who knew painting on floppy disks could be so much fun!
#floppydisk #painting
#Artgust Day 8: 3D
Yes, today's prompt is 3D.
Yes, I did a 2D drawing XD.
Today I tried to remember back to an architectural drawing class I took years ago to help me do an isometric drawing of a museum. Hopefully someday I'll get around to building it in Minecraft :)
#Artgust day 7: Think Inside the Box.
The tiniest of alchemist's workshops!
This project took a long time, but was SO MUCH FUN! It's so satisfying to rearrange all the little objects, too :D

#Artgust Day 6: Fauna!
Say hello to Khoshi's mini-me, made from a mixture of wool and her actual hair! #needlefelting
Three similar bracelets all laid out parallel to each other. Each bracelet is made up of a silver chain with small pink flowers and green leaves attached to it.

#Artgust Day 5: Flora!
For today's prompt, I decided to play around with shrinky dinks, and make some bracelets! If you'd like to get one for yourself, I put a couple of them up in my shop :) alchemists-attic.com/products/han...
A picture of scattered office supplies, captioned with the riddle: I spy a ruler, a crayon that's blue, a bandaid, 3 stamps, and a bottle of glue; An orange paperclip, 4 erasers, 5 tacks, an apple, a thumbdrive, a flashlight, SNACKS.
#Artgust day 4: Office Supplies!
For today's prompt I dragged my brother in to make our own I Spy page! Can you find all the objects in the riddle?
Really happy with how today's #artgust art piece turned out! (the prompt was "crown") #skull #crown
Let's make some bad art! Today's #Artgust prompt was "Map", so I took the opportunity to just mess around with some crayons and have a good time. Why not try making some bad art yourself? Give it a shot!
It's the first day of #Artgust which means today's prompt is "In the attic." So, of course, I took the opportunity to... clamber into my attic and take creepy photos of dolls? Wait, what? If you want to see the whole story of taking these photos, check out the video here: youtu.be/4868sd-e72g #dolls
#artgust starts tomorrow! Come join me in making daily art projects for the month of August :) #artchallenge
Y'all ready for #Artgust next week? My workspace definitely isn't! Get ready for daily videos in August- and maybe they'll answer the question of what exploded in my workspace.
