photoshop elements 3.0 running on windows xp
for some reason photoshop elements 3 has a media player and lets you associate sound files with photos
my answer was to change my GTK theme from Breeze to Adwaita. Still, I can't help but feel like the desktop Linux experience has actually gotten WORSE the past few years and a lot of it is GTK/GNOME's fault with its poor themeability and inability to even be consistent with itself

we eliminated a lot of tedious and pointless work WITHOUT the use of an LLM, just by replacing software that was patched together from legacy systems! every workplace i've been at has had these kinds of systems, but this work isn't sexy and doesn't get fortune investors excited, so...
as dilbertesque as my workplace may be sometimes, i do appreciate that (despite the rollout issues) they correctly identified that the way to actually improve efficiency was to replace aging systems with better conventional software, rather than throwing ChatGPT at the problem and firing everyone

btw my mavica started giving a "For Infolithium Only" error or something like that and then shutting off even though the battery was fully charged... i wiped off the data contact on the InfoLithium cell and it seemed to fix it, so it's possible the contact is just a little worn out i guess
