Another thing I would add is that, especially online, you don't actually know your favorite artist as a person, you know curated bits and pieces. That picture you have in your head of them is always going to be a construction, and that's normal. But it is, at best, a fragment.
Hey. You know those cute little crow time comics everyone loves so much? That's Isa. That's who everyone is talking about. I think that needed to be made clear since I noticed some confusion and a lot are actually rather unaware of this fact because she's great at separating herself from this.
Actually, I tend to wipe my memory of this time period but my start with my pitch accepted by Hive was through Audrey Redpath who tried to snipe mine and several others to start her own comic site. Took months to communicate with, ultimately got wiped off the internet after the Kickstarter Debacle
